Measuring CPE Hours

• 1 CPE hour for every 50 minutes of participation
  (take total time and divide it by 50 minutes, rounding down)
• preparation time for students is not included
• College or University courses equal 15 CPE hours for every
• semester credit. (one 3 credit course equals 45 CPE hours)
• Instructors should not receive CPE hours for teaching a course
• more than once in a two year period, UNLESS the course was
  changed significantly (cannot exceed 40 hours
  for any 2 year period)
• Correspondence Courses
• CPEs awarded upon completion
• Credits based on average completion time as
  assessed by the vendor
• Speakers/Instructors
